EUBOIA. Eretria. Circa 500-465 BC. Drachm (Silver, 15 mm, 3.89 g, 9 h). Cow standing left, turning its head back to lick its raised left hind hoof. Rev. Octopus within incuse square. BCD Euboia 318 = Weber 3386 (this coin). McClean 5701, pl. 205, 3 (same dies). Traité 1074, pl. XXXII, 5 (same dies). Beautifully toned and with an exeptional pedigree. Struck from worn dies as usual, otherwise, very fine.
